Administrative Assistant – Town of Falher
Location: 011 Central Ave SW, Falher, AB
Permanent, Full-Time
Start Date: February 17, 2026
The Town of Falher is seeking a professional and customer-focused Administrative Assistant to support daily municipal operations and provide front-line service to the public. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, this position plays a key role in administration, records management, financial processing, and coordination of municipal services.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide front-line customer service and respond to public inquiries in person, by phone, and electronically;
- Process payments for taxes, utilities, licenses, permits, and other municipal services;
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and meeting materials; maintain accurate records;
- Coordinate administrative functions for the Municipal Cemetery, including plot and columbarium services;
- Provide backup support to accounting functions, including deposits and billing support;
- Assist with light outdoor duties in winter months, including snow shoveling to maintain safe office access; and
- Performs other duties as assigned by the CAO to support municipal operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary training is an asset;
- Administrative experience; municipal experience is an asset;
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills;
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities;
- Proficiency with modern office software; and
- First Aid and CPR Certificate (upon hire or within 90 days)
