Good Dog has an immediate opening for a Dog Groomer in our Port Moody location. This is not an entry level position, and 2+ years of professional grooming experience is a requirement.

The Dog Groomer is responsible for providing services as booked to grooming clients in a caring

and compassionate fashion.

Start Date: Immediately

Days: Either Sun-Thur or Tue-Sat schedule possible

Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time

Pay: $18/hour plus commission on each dog groomed

Location: Port Moody

Responsibilities:

  • Complete grooms of scheduled pets
  • Ensure you are adhering to the expectations of care and attention to detail
  • Continuously remain engaged and passionate in the line of work
  • Ensure the wellbeing of the dogs in our care
  • Ensure clients receive excellent customer service
  • Recommend Add On Services as needed
  • Develop strong relationships with clients
  • Maintain hygiene of grooming spaces and equipment

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience providing grooming services to pets
  • Animal CPR considered an asset
  • Certificate in dog grooming considered an asset
  • Proven ability to actively engage and lead in a team environment and compliance to protocols and procedures
  • Proven ability to behave with respect and compassion
  • Ability to build a good rapport with animals and have a friendly and patient nature
  • Possess a professional and upbeat attitude
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to read and speak English fluently
