Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pantry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in meal preparation and food handling, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh, organized, and ready for use. This position requires a passion for the food industry and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

  • Prepare and organize ingredients for daily meal service, ensuring all items are prepped according to recipes and specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pantry area, including proper storage of food items.
  • Assist in meal preparation by cooking and assembling dishes as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of meals served.
  • Monitor inventory levels of pantry supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
  • Participate in training sessions on food safety and kitchen best practices.

Skills

  • Proven experience in food service or within the food industry is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
  • Ability to assist with meal preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in food preparation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food handling.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment as part of a team.
  • A passion for cooking and helping others enjoy delicious meals.
