Every day, more than 1,200 people work with the YMCAs of Québec network, providing a variety of services that create positive change in people's lives. 


Camp YMCA Kanawana is the oldest summer overnight camp in Quebec and offers both traditional and progressive camp programs based on the values of the YMCA. Employees live on-site for the full summer season, from June to August. The salary includes meals, lodging, and round-trip transportation from Montreal to camp. However, it is possible to be a non-residential staff member for this position.

Under the supervision of the Administration and Customer Service Coordinator, the selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality customer service to all YMCA clients, especially within the camp sector. This person will communicate professionally and efficiently with parents or guardians, coworkers, and supervisors, and relay important and relevant information to the Camp YMCA Kanawana leadership team.

The Challenge We Offer
  • Supervise camper and visitor arrival and departure procedures (preparing lists for the first and last day, tracking transport changes, coordinating airport pickups).

  • Communicate with parents or guardians via email and phone.

  • Handle and redirect client and institutional inquiries in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Perform data entry: process registration changes, cancellations, and payments.

  • Manage customer service duties: answer calls and redirect them as needed.

  • Oversee and manage lost and found items: contact parents or guardians when labeled items are found and coordinate pick-ups.

  • Receive deliveries, collect mail, and distribute it.

  • Maintain and restock the front office throughout the summer.

  • Prepare take-home packets for campers, including labeling t-shirts, organizing envelopes with camper evaluations, cabin group photos, and other relevant materials provided by the resource team.

  • Manage the on-site souvenir shop (inventory, purchasing, etc.).

  • Provide high-quality customer service.

  • Perform any other related tasks.


The Person We're Looking For
  • Ability to identify client needs through active listening.

  • Capacity to multitask effectively.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Comfortable with technology (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Excellent phone manner.


  • Excellent command of French, both spoken and written

    Intermediate proficiency in English.The employee will be required to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, with various individuals on a daily basis.



  • Willingness to work a flexible and changing schedule.
