About Us:

D&G Landscaping is a commercial and institutional landscaping and heavy civil construction company based in Greely, Ontario. Our projects include Parliament (West Block & Centre Block), Lansdowne Park, Rideau Street, Elgin Street, multiple OLRT Stations to name just a few. We are proud to have worked on some of the largest landscape construction projects in our nation's capital.

We are currently looking for hard-working individuals to join our growing team to complete snow removal at the Civic & General hospital, as well as (2) sites in the downtown area.

Schedule:

  • This is a seasonal position from November 2025 until March 13th, Summer landscaping work available after the winter season.)
  • Shifts are on an on-call basis and hours vary depending on the weather (8-16 hour shifts).
  • You MUST be available 24/7 , including weekends and holidays, and be able to respond to dispatch on short notice.
  • Hourly pay, with guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Clearing snow from commercial sites and parking lots with a loader or skid-steer.
  • Remove and load excess snow/piles.
  • Safely operating snow removal equipment and following all safety guidelines.
  • Ensuring that all areas are properly cleared, salted and free of snow and ice.
  • Inspecting equipment and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Communicating with supervisors or team members to coordinate snow removal efforts.

Requirements:

  • Must be available 24/7, Saturday to Sunday.
  • Must have a working cell phone.
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to sites.
  • Comfortable driving in all road conditions
  • Must hold a valid G Class drivers license and clean abstract.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work in cold and potentially hazardous weather conditions.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads (minimum 50lb).
    Can work independently and as a team.
