Job Summary

Highland Pines Campground and Pine Meadows Retirement Community is seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our Snow Crew Team. Team members will play a vital role in keeping our community safe and accessible for residents and staff by removing snow from walkways, entrances, driveways and common areas.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Shovel snow from sidewalks, pathways, stairways, and building entrances
  • Apply ice melt/salt to maintain safe walking surfaces
  • Operate snow removal tools and equipment safely (shovels, snow blowers, trucks and tractors if applicable)
  • Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly during snowfall events
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly store equipment after use
  • Communicate any hazards or safety concerns to the supervisor
  • Work effectively as part of a team to complete tasks in a timely manner

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work outdoors in cold and snowy conditions
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, shovel, and perform repetitive movements
  • Reliable and punctual, with flexibility to work varying hours depending on weather conditions
  • Available for early mornings (5am start time), weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Previous snow removal experience is an asset, but not required
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Must be a self-motivated and well-organized individual

Hours and Compensation

  • On-call
  • Minimum 24 hours per week; maximum 40 hours per week
  • Hours vary based on snowfall and weather conditions
