As we continue to expand, we're looking for a driven and results-oriented
New Business Development Manager
to join our team. This role will focus on acquiring new customers, developing long-term client relationships, and promoting the full range of our services.

About the Role

The
New Business Development Manager
is a hunter role, reporting directly to the General Manager. Your main objective will be to bring in new customers by identifying, engaging, and converting prospects into long-term clients. You will work closely with stakeholders across a variety of industries—
property managers, building owners, condominium boards, and facility management firms
—to provide tailored outdoor property maintenance solutions.

This role is ideal for someone with
strong B2B or construction-related sales experience
who understands the challenges of maintaining high-traffic properties and thrives on building relationships that lead to business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and initial outreach to closing deals and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Sell property maintenance services such as
    asphalt paving, concrete, snow removal, and year-round landscaping solutions
  • Conduct on-site assessments and develop customized service proposals.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of
    D Rock Paving
    's services and use that knowledge to craft relevant solutions.
  • Deliver presentations to potential clients to explain our offerings clearly and persuasively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including Operations and Project Management—to develop and refine service solutions.
  • Attend internal meetings and contribute insights to improve our offerings and client experience.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams based on client needs and market trends.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events as needed.

About You

  • You are a motivated hunter who enjoys seeking out and closing new business.
  • 5+ years of experience in a business development, sales, or similar role.
  • Experience with or knowledge of construction processes and facilities/property management.
  • Background in real estate management or construction projects is an asset.
  • Solid understanding of general business practices (e.g., budgeting, procurement).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Pipedrive, Navigator).
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
  • Analytical, solution-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Post-secondary degree, college diploma, or equivalent professional development.
  • Willing to travel locally (GTA) and occasionally across Canada for client meetings or trade shows.
