Calibration Technician

BHD is growing, and we're looking for a Technician Level 2 to join our team This role is ideal for someone with experience in calibration, testing, electrical safety equipment, or measurement science who is ready to take the next step in their technical career.
About the Role
As a Technician Level 2, you will perform advanced calibration, testing, repair, and certification of a wide range of measurement instruments and electrical safety equipment. You'll support quality compliance, provide exceptional customer service, and help mentor junior team members. This position plays a key role in maintaining our high standards of safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform calibration, testing, inspection, and repair of electronic/mechanical instruments and safety equipment.
- Diagnose equipment issues, document results, and prepare certificates and reports.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and uphold safety standards.
- Support continuous improvement and assist with developing or updating procedures.
- Provide guidance and training to less experienced technicians.
- Collaborate with lab leadership, onsite teams, and administrative staff.
- Deliver excellent customer service both in-house and onsite.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in calibration, metrology, electronics, or related technical fields.
- Strong math, problem-solving, and computer skills.
- Ability to interpret technical procedures and work independently.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to customer service.
Preferred:
- Technical diploma, trade certification, or military training in measurement science or calibration.
- Knowledge of ISO 17025 standards, electrical safety testing, electromechanical repair, and lab measurement practices.
Work Environment
- Laboratory, plant, or onsite settings.
- Requires standing/sitting for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- May involve indoor/outdoor work and occasional travel.
