Reliable Equipment Rentals Ltd. provides aerial equipment rentals and services to valued customers throughout southwestern British Columbia.
We are looking for experienced Field Service Technician to performs skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on various types of high-reach equipment.
Monday to Friday, 7:00AM to 3:30PM
Occasional overtime and/or weekend on-call work may be requested
$57.00 to $62.00 per hour depending on experience, skills, and qualifications

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducts repairs and maintenance on a variety of high-reach equipment (rental and customer owned Units).
- Inspects machines and discovers any functionality issues.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots reported problems and resolves them in a timely manner.
- Produces timely and detailed service reports and repair logs.
- Builds positive relationships with customers.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics and electrical systems, including schematics and diagnostics
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Ability to prioritize work assignments
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Highly flexible, strong interpersonal skills and can work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Computer literate
Experience, Training, Certification and Education:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic
- Proficient with Web GPI
- Knowledge of how to calibrate super booms (S125/Z135)
- Knowledge of Deutz engines 2011 and 2.9L
- Relevant mechanic experience and/or enrolled as Heavy Duty trades apprentice at SKilledTradesBC an asset
- Post-secondary education in Heavy Duty Mechanic
- SkilledTradesBC Certification or Diploma of Vocational Studies/Attestation of College Studies from Quebec
- Possess a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift up to 80lbs
- PPE required at all times
- Overtime as required
- Hazards associated with the trade
- Work both indoors and outdoors
- May be exposed to construction sites
