Job overview

Production manager will be responsible for overseeing day to day operations of shop, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and compliance with aviation regulations. This role requires strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills to manage production teams, meet customer requirements, and achieve company goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily MRO shop operations, overseeing workflow, capacity, and resource allocation (manpower, tooling, materials) to meet production targets and turnaround times.
  • Supervise, schedule, and support technicians and shop staff, including workforce planning, performance management, and productivity initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA/TCCA/EASA and company quality standards, partner with Quality Assurance to resolve non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Sales to align production with demand and provide timely updates on maintenance progress.
  • Support cost control, project estimates, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery; monitor and report TAT, efficiency, and quality performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve TAT, including Lean/5S practices.
  • Ensure a safe and compliant work environment at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in aviation MRO operations, including leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of MRO shop practices, production planning, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving abilities.
  • Experience with ERP/MRO management systems preferred.
