About the Role

We are seeking an experienced
Production Manager
to join a leading aerospace and manufacturing organization in Mississauga. In this role, you'll oversee all production activities, ensuring cost, quality, and schedule goals are met while driving continuous improvement initiatives. You'll play a key part in coordinating resources, supporting supervisors, and aligning production operations with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee timely manufacturing and processing of components, parts, and assemblies according to the Master Production Schedule.
  • Manage and support Production Supervisors, ensuring effective resource utilization and staffing levels.
  • Monitor production capacity, workload, employee performance, and attendance.
  • Collaborate with Materials Planning, Estimating, Manufacturing Engineering, and Sales to deliver accurate forecasts and competitive quotations.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment in line with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize costs, boost productivity, and optimize flexibility.
  • Develop and mentor production supervision staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team culture.
  • Coordinate application of the Collective Agreement in partnership with Human Resources.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • 5–10 years of progressive manufacturing and production management experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 / 9110 standards (AMO expertise is an asset).
  • Strong leadership, people management, and motivational skills.
  • Proven track record in project management, process improvement, and results delivery.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and production management tools.
