**Location**: Calgary, AB
**Salary**: $55,000 per year (Full-time)
**Schedule**: Full-time | Flexible shifts (including evenings & weekends)

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and execute Indian vegetarian dishes with consistent taste and presentation
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and workflow
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff (cooks and helpers)
- Maintain food quality, portion control, and cost efficiency
- Ensure compliance with Alberta Health Services food safety standards
- Manage inventory, ordering, and food wastage control
- Develop and standardize recipes and preparation methods
- Handle kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and equipment maintenance
- Coordinate with management on menu planning and specials
- Ensure timely preparation for dine-in, takeout, delivery, and catering orders

**Requirements**:

- Minimum **3-5 years of experience** as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in Indian cuisine
- Strong knowledge of North & South Indian vegetarian cooking
- Experience managing kitchen staff and operations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong leadership, communication, and time-management skills
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-volume restaurants
- Knowledge of tandoor, curry bases, gravies, and bulk preparation
- Experience with food cost control and inventory systems
