**Brief Overview**:

- Métis Nation-Saskatchewan (MN-S) is a diverse, growing organization that is transitioning to its own government. As this transition happens, we are developing our teams to maximize our visibility and meaningfully share our ways of living.Métis Nation-Saskatchewan is hiring for a Graphic Content Creative specializing in print, digital, and contemporary artistic design. This position is organic in nature and will have a variety of tasks assigned, from design, communications, production, illustration and helping with events and experiences. Our team is a diverse, well-organized group and we are looking to hire someone who balances and brings an energy that complements our group. This position is in downtown Saskatoon and reports to the Directors of Storytelling.This role will be part of the Storytelling & Content Services team. You will work in conjunction with the various teams at Métis Nation-Saskatchewan to deliver and share with our citizens important knowledge from Métis history. Our history has been traditionally oral in nature however, through creative graphical design, we can start sharing Métis language, culture, and history and preserve our stories for future generations. The Graphic Content Creative will produce a wide range of materials to enhance the story of a project, to project and be a vision for the nation. You will work with designers and writers to enhance end products. This role requires working well under tight deadlines and a passion to share stories.**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Creative Director & Culture, Language & Heritage team to develop, enhance, and deploy graphical content for public, internal, and government audiences.
- Capture and craft visual stories with a consistent tone, language, and substance.
- Help maintain our high level of brand awareness and accuracy.
- Work with the Creative Director to help develop creative content.
- Create and deploy graphic content for our channels.
- Follow production and scheduling for project completion target dates.
- Provide production ready final files for content distribution.
- Maintain an archive of completed projects for recall.
- Dedication to become a master of the skills required for this position.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in design, or Industry certification through the Registered Graphic Designers of Canada (RGD) or DesCan (Designers of Canada) is considered an asset.
- 5+ years in Graphic Design, with a portfolio.
- Computer experience: Mac platform with extensive knowledge in the Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, After Effects), Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience with SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams. 3D experience is a plus.
- Illustration and fundamental artistic skills to created finished artistic pieces.
- Ability to learn and grow with the Métis Nation-Saskatchewan through our shared experiences.
- Passionate about collaborating with the team on concepts and strategy.
- Excellent English written and verbal communications skills. Knowledge or familiarity with Michif, French, Dene, or Cree an asset.

- Keen knowledge of print design, typography and colour theory principles.
- Knowledge of photographic and video principles.
- Maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently to all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated creative and strategic thinker with incredible attention to detail.
- Ability to take a project from the start to the finish line and genuinely enjoy engaging and working with colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and multitask within calendar deadlines and deliverables.
- Ability to work on site or hybrid.
- Ability to navigate an ever evolving, changing work environment.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Must undergo a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must have completed or willing to complete CPR certification.
