Métis Nation-Saskatchewan is hiring for a Digital Content Creative specialising in
Video, Photo and Social Media content. Our team is a diverse, well-organized group and we are looking to hire someone who balances and brings an energy that complements our group. This position is at our main office, downtown Saskatoon, and reports to the Creative Director.
This role will be part of the Storytelling & Content Services team. You will work in conjunction with the various teams at Métis Nation Saskatchewan to deliver and share with our citizens important knowledge from Métis history. Our history has been traditionally oral in nature however, through creative video and audio productions, we can start sharing Métis language, culture, and history and preserve our stories for future generations. The Digital/Social Content Creative will produce video and social media content for our video channels, streaming channels, and podcasting channels. You will work with our Social Media Manager and creative team to capture and share the stories, events and culture at the Métis Nation-Saskatchewan. This role requires working well under tight deadlines and a passion to share stories.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with the Creative Director, Social Media Manager, Senior Video Content Creative & Key Stakeholders to develop, enhance, and deploy video and social media content for public, internal, and government audiences.
- Help maintain our high level of brand awareness and accuracy.
- Capture digital content for our channels during events & government actions.
- Your time needs to be flexible for project efficiency.
- Work on special projects on content for our digital networks.
- Follow production and scheduling timelines.
- Provide final files for content distribution.
- Maintain & file the photographic and video digital archive.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Understanding of Métis Culture, Citizens, and Communities.
- Must be creative, good at problem solving and collaborating with other departments.
- Keen knowledge of creating contents for digital marketing, video, photography, and social media.
- Maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently to all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated creative and strategic thinker with incredible attention to detail.
- Ability to take a project from the start to the finish line and genuinely enjoy engaging and working with colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and multitask within calendar deadlines and deliverables.

- Passionate about collaborating with the team on concepts and strategy and willing to jump into dynamic projects.
- Excellent English written and verbal communications skills.
**Qualifications**:
- 1-3 years experience working in video, photography, and/or social media production.
- An online portfolio is required.
- Formal Film Education is considered an asset.
- Must have experience using social media tools to promote content and engage with audiences.
- Computer experience: Mac platform with extensive knowledge in the
Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effect, Premier, Photoshop, Davinci, Hootsuite) Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience with SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Knowledge or familiarity with Michif, French, Dene, or Cree is considered an asset.
