**Join our SUMMIT RAIL DIVISION team**

The Rental Coordinator reports to the Branch Manager and is responsible for coordinating and tracking pick-up and deliveries with transporters, as well as consistent communication with customers. Each branch has rental coordinators who are responsible for moving vehicles from point of origin to destination within established timelines. They coordinate directly with customers to ensure a smooth process.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Coordinates with carriers to meet customer requirements as far as pickup, delivery, hours of operation
- Negotiates carrier/vendor rates as required
- Booking and coordination of transportation moves
- Communicates directly with customers, sales representatives, and account managers providing routine updates on pickup and delivery status; makes customer service and customer communications a priority
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of planned, pending, and completed transportation movement
- Monitor and determine priority of vehicle maintenance, servicing, and repairs
- Establish and manage timelines related to vehicle activity
- Direct vendor activities, ensuring vehicles are maintained in safe operating condition
- Review vendors’ work, ensuring compliance with our standards and procedures
- Participate in the delivery and pickup of vehicles
- Other projects as directed

**Qualifications/Skills**
- Strong Customer Services and communication skills needed
- Written skills to compose clear/concise descriptions when posting files and drafting correspondence
- Excellent customer service and telephone communication skills
- Capacity to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Must be a team player
- The position will be expected to report to work Monday-Friday (8-5)
- Overtime may be necessary during busy season

**Education and/or experience**
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Good computer fundamentals
- 1-2 years transportation or transportation dispatch experience, or equivalent training preferred
- 1-2 years of related customer service experience preferred
