Customer & Office Support Specialist

Location: SE Industrial Area

Job Type: 3 Days Per Week (Nov - March) 5 Day per Week (April - Oct)

Pay: Competitive hourly wage ($20-25/hr)

Rental Brothers is a fast-growing event rental company specializing in tents, event infrastructure, and premium rental equipment. We support weddings, festivals, corporate events, and community celebrations across the region. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a reliable part-time Office Assistant to help keep our operations organized and efficient.

Position Overview

We're searching for a detail-oriented, friendly, and organized Office Assistant to support our office and warehouse teams. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of computer work, scheduling, communication, and light administrative tasks. No event experience required — we'll train you

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct customer phone calls and emails
  • Assist with creating and updating rental orders and invoices
  • Support scheduling and coordination for deliveries, pickups, and crew assignments
  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
  • Help with basic customer service, including answering questions about our products
  • Assist with inventory updates and equipment tracking
  • Perform general office duties to support smooth business operations
  • Occasionally help with sorting and cleaning of event assets
  • Occasionally assist in client returns if receiving staff needs a hand
  • Occasionally assist onsite at event setups
  • File incoming receipts and invoices
  • Light office cleaning as required

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Good computer skills (Google Workspace / Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Previous office or customer service experience is an asset, but not required

Schedule

  • 24 hours per week until March 31st, additional hours if desired available during Spring and Summer months.

  • Occasional weekend availability is a bonus, but not required
