**Commerce Electric **is a reputed Electrical Contracting and Engineering company based in Mississauga, ON. Established in 1974, we undertake Electrical Medium Voltage and Low Voltage projects in and around GTA and neighbouring regions

We are looking to hire a full-time Electrical Estimator / Project Coordinator in our project team.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Estimation of electrical projects, soliciting and qualifying pricing from vendors, participating in site walks where required, preparing and submitting bids, following up with customers on projects quoted.

Plan, assign, track and maintain construction schedules and milestones to monitor completion/progress

Coordinate on-site project scheduling and progress to ensure project deadlines are met.

Procurement of material purchases/rentals for sites as needed

Process all progress billing, change orders, including negotiating and assessing cost and schedule impact

Follow up on retention amount upon project close-out, Archive project documentation, rectify deficiencies and co-ordinate warranty work
- Negotiate pricing with vendors
- Ensure adherence to Ontario Health and Safety Standards

**Qualifications**
- Licensed Electrician / Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 10 years experience in commercial construction projects
- Proven experience as an estimator/project co-ordinator
- Prior experience on Accubid estimating software preferred
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and building controls
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Health and Safety Act
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal and negotiation skills
- Outstanding organization and time-management skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Provide outstanding customer service

Salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience and in line with industry standards.
