**Overview**

**Duties**
- Novice and intermediate level vegetable and fruit prep: zesting, juicing, peeling, pickling, roasting, blanching and caramelizing
- Preparing pastry, shaping, precutting, forming pastry shells, slabs, tartlets
- Packing prepared foods for retail: bagging granola, cookies, and crackers, making boxes, stickering and stamping packaging for baked goods
- Keeping a clean and organized work station at all time, maintain a general cleanliness of all spaces with the team throughout the day
- Shutdown kitchen with the team when required
- Scrub counters, sinks, fridges, sweep, mop, wrap all food etc.

Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Help with inventory management by ensuring that all ingredients are stocked and stored properly.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- **Skills**:

- Experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling techniques and food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Strong attention to detail, especially regarding food preparation and presentation.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in the culinary field.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
