Patient Care Coordinator

We are looking for a Part Time Patient Care Coordinator to join our integrative women’s health clinic in Kingston. This is a fast-paced & customer facing role. This is a great opportunity to help make a difference in women’s healthcare and to grow within the role This position may lead to full time employment based on performance and alignment with the company’s mission and values.
**Immediate Responsibilities**
- Establish genuine rapport with patients, welcoming them and ensuring they have a positive experience from start to finish at the clinic.
- Enter appointments into the patient schedule and maintain a waiting list so that schedules are booked as fully as possible.
- Administer patient forms, test results and internal documents through electronic medical records system (Jane).
- Patient checkout including invoicing, insurance billing and receiving payments.
- Effectively work with management in continually evaluating, reviewing, and modifying operational policies and procedures in the operating manual.
- Demonstrate active listening and empathy to patients using effective communication skills.
- Responsible for the entire patient experience, establishing long term relationships and trust in our team.
- Regular cleaning of clinic environment to ensure safety of patient and staff.
**Required Skills/Technologies**
- Very tech-savvy and able to troubleshoot as tech related issues arise.
- Experience with Slack, Asana or other internal messaging and scheduling systems is an asset.
- MS Office (Word, Excel), Google Docs and Gmail.
- Typing 50 wpm or higher
- Experience with Jane patient records system is a bonus
- Experience in patient care and/or administration is an asset.
- Experience working in a hospitality, customer service or retail environment

- Ability to maintain composure through change and when under pressure.
- Ability to multi-task and regularly adjust workflow.
- Self-starter that does not need constant guidance.
- Able to handle a fast-paced environment
- An ability to identify, evaluate and address barriers and challenges that arise, provide potential solutions and adjustments, as well as participate in the resolution of said challenges.
- Must have excellent written and spoken English
- Strong interest in health and nutrition. Working knowledge of Naturopathic Medicine is a plus.
