Project Coordinator

Summary: To provide in office coordination for large scale Industrial General Contracting and construction projects. Including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that all project documentation is being distributed correctly. Liaise with the Project Manager and the Site Superintendent to ensure all specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities of Coordinator:
- Construction Project Coordinator for large Industrial General Contracting.
- Have a basic to strong understanding of construction drawings, documents, schedules and specifications.
- Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
- Handle and distribute with project team and project consultants: shop schedules, shop drawings, site instructions, RFI’s, and material submittals.
- Ensure that subcontractors are fully executing and complying with their contracted scope of work.
- Coordinate required inspections with third party inspectors and municipal authorities.
- Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
- Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
- Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
- Assisting the Project Manager with administrative functions and processes
- Managing day-to-day activities for the Project Management team
Secondary Functions:
- Gather project material submittals and maintain records of project documentation.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and Site Superintendent to identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as construction drawings and specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
References will be required.
**Salary**: $4,500.00-$5,000.00 per month
