**Your role**

Are you motivated to begin your career in Project Management? In this role, you’ll support experienced project managers and get the opportunity to sharpen your skills on diverse range of projects varying in scope and complexity. You will hone your project management skills by contributing to various projects from commercial buildings and fit-ups, social organizations, schools, water and wastewater and Indigenous communities.

Take a positive approach to your work and enjoy learning and contributing new ideas and solutions. Build strong relationships with your teammates and project stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**:

- You have experience in leading projects, varying in size and scope in the public and private sectors relating to tenant fit-ups, commercial office renovations, educational facilities of every type and/or municipal buildings
- You have experience delivering multiple projects in parallel with the support from team members
- Your clients trust you and rely on your knowledge, skills and expertise to achieve their business goals and objectives
- Your clients are impressed with your ability to represent their best interests regarding contractual and technical issues
- Your project teams rely on your ability to manage change, communicate and coordinate between multiple stakeholders, resolve issues, and deliver projects on time and on budget
- You have experience managing design consultants and construction teams throughout the project process from conceptual design to deficiency review
- You maintain contact with existing and prospective clients and respond to business development and sales opportunities with support from the Business Development Team, Principal or Regional Vice President
- You are able to remain nimble and agile when addressing competing client and tenant demands, requirements, and concerns

Qualifications:

- A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, interior design, or construction management (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience
- At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, in the delivery of projects of varying size and scope in a range of building types
- Strong knowledge of various construction methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law and relevant legislation
- Effective leadership and organizational skills with a proven ability to effectively influence others and resolve client, project and technical issues
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in MS Project, MS Word and MS Excel
- Professional industry credentials such as PMP, P.Eng., CET, Registered Architect or other similar industry recognized designation is considered a strong asset
