**JOB SUMMARY**
We are seeking a Coordinator of Events & Membership who will drive engagement and build the OBOT brand by providing a superior experience and clear benefits for members, guests and sponsors. The role will support growth in new member attainment and retention, event and program engagement and communications.
**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain and strengthen existing and developing member relationships, ensuring a positive membership and stakeholder experience.
- Manage inbound membership inquiries and questions from prospective and existing members and triage requests to the correct team member.
- Establish and maintain value added membership through regular contact with members and the management of current programs and opportunities.
- Share member benefits and encourage members to leverage them.
- Support the business and member attraction strategy by managing customer accounts.
- Enhance utilization of internal systems including the CRM to optimize management of membership information, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
- Identify and track the changing needs of members and potential members.
- Reporting and analytics for operations, sales, and finance.
- Support overall revenue generation through the promotion of advertising and sponsorship opportunities.
- Provide various statistical analyses of the membership, and other reports, as required.
- Research, identify, and monitor current and new affinity programs and other benefit services for the membership as determined by the Manager, Membership & Events.
- Deliver member services such as Document Certification.
- Prepare and send membership dues renewal invoices and member services invoices.
- Manage and track accounts receivable.
**EVENT SERVICES & ADMINISTRATION**
- Attending events and strengthen member and partner relationships.
- Assistance event day logistics including guest registration and experience.
- Set up and maintain event registration pages.
- Answer member and guest inquiries relating to events.
- Provide event registration and payment support.
- Assist in the execution of sponsorship deliverables.
**GENERAL ADMINISTRATION, BRANDING, COMMUNICATIONS**
- Report on goals, progress, and performance measures.
- Attend meetings and contribute as a thought leader.
- Support key committees with organization, minute taking and agenda setting.
- Work as a supportive team member, contribute to organizational improvement.
- Meet and greet visitors, partners and members at the Board of Trade office.
- Develop a high-level knowledge of local and surrounding communities.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- One to three years of relevant work experience.
- Education in administration, event planning, hospitality, and/or communications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated skills in social media and digital marketing for event and member promotions.
- Desire to work in a fast paced, multi-priority, deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong computer and digital skills to support use of multiple platforms.
- Good networking skills to build relationships with vendors and suppliers and attract new customers
- Expert organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks according to organizational and team needs.
- Aptitude for working in collaborative team environments with a focus on proactive communication, relationship building skills and resiliency.
