We are proud of our work and commitment to create one of the leading workforce, products and services in the Aviation industry. **About the Role**: **Reporting** The Component Shop Technician reports directly to the Component Shop Manager. **Core Competencies** - Problem Solving - Communication - Troubleshooting - Attention to Detail - Ability to Read Manuals - Attitude - Professionalism **Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities** - Perform disassembly and cleaning of aircraft components according to customer's specifications, airworthiness directives, applicable manufacturers' CMM guidelines and operating procedures. - Maintain current knowledge of and comply with customer and Transport Canada regulations as applicable to the work assigned. - Ensure familiarity with all shop equipment operations and their maintenance, able to understand component maintenance manuals and all other applicable technical documents. **Qualifications** - Communication - both verbal and written English language. - Must be able to write descriptive statements concerning the condition of the assemblies being worked on. - Ability to work as a team member. - Must have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. - Ability to use hand tools and mechanical experience. - Ability to lift up to 50lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for 8 to 10 hours. **Experience** - Minimum 2 years' experience in related field with strong mechanical and/or electrical background is preferred. - Aviation experience is considered an asset, but not required. **Our recruitment commitments**: - ** We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.**: - _ Avmax Group offers a competitive compensation package including an optimal benefits plan and pension plan._ - _ Avmax will accommodate the needs of applicants with disabilities throughout all stages of selection process.
