Safety and Compliance Coordinator

Job description: The Safety and Compliance Coordinator will develop and implement programs and policies to address fleet maintenance and safety, driver safety and ensure compliance with regulations related to transportation industry.

**Responsibilities**:
- Driver hiring and driver qualification file management
- Monitor Driver, vehicle, and company credentials and process renewal as necessary
- Audit Driver daily Logs and provide re-training or discipline where necessary
- Review and follow up with all traffic tickets, warnings, convictions, or accidents
- Monitoring and staying current with all federal and provincial safety regulations
- Report new claims to insurance and follow up with insurance on existing claims.
- Work with the client's fleet manager for vehicle maintenance inspections and file maintenance reports
- Other Administrative duties as they arise Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention
- Coordinate safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing training sessions
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training activities
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and emerging trends in workplace safety

- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards
- Ability to fabricate and implement effective safety programs
- Experience in training development and delivery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Proficient in using computer software for recordkeeping and data analysis

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
