We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Safety and Compliance Coordinator to join our team at Drive Xpress Inc. As the Safety and Compliance Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and regulatory compliance of our operations. This position requires in-depth knowledge of both the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) regulations and the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) guidelines.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with MTO and USDOT regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of equipment, drivers, and facilities to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the operations team to provide safety training and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Monitor and analyze safety-related data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions to reduce incidents and accidents.
- Ensure that all drivers are properly licensed and possess the necessary qualifications to meet MTO and USDOT requirements.
- Oversee drug and alcohol testing programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage the maintenance and inspection schedules for all company vehicles to meet safety and compliance standards.
- Prepare and submit reports to regulatory authorities as required by MTO and USDOT guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in transportation regulations and industry best practices to ensure continuous compliance.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Safety and Compliance Coordinator in the trucking or transportation industry.
- Thorough understanding of Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) regulations and United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) guidelines.
- Familiarity with transportation safety management systems and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify safety issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to conduct training sessions and communicate safety policies clearly.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

**Salary**: $37,468.57-$60,000.00 per year
