**JOB SUMMARY**
We're looking for a full-time Head of Events & Communications to join an exceptional HR team.
**RESPONSABILITIES**
- Conceive, organize, plan, coordinate and execute all corporate and social events in line with the company's strategies (Christmas party, recognition event, Culturefest, Olympics, employee life events, etc.).
- Create, propose and manage the communication plan for each event, including invitations.
- Identify and select service providers and negotiate contracts. (Caterers, DJs, audiovisual, decoration, etc.).
- Establish a detailed project plan, including tasks, deadlines and responsibilities, and respect the established budget.
- Ensure that everything goes according to plan.
- Be prepared to deal with unforeseen problems that may arise and find creative solutions.
- Coordinate the installation and logistics teams and ensure coordination on the day of the event.
- Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to evaluate the success of the event.
- Perform cost analysis against initial budget.
- Prepare a post-event report.
- Design and propose internal communications plans based on corporate needs;
- Prepare all corporate meetings (Board of Directors, townhalls, etc.).
- Ensure the day-to-day management, guidance and commitment of a 4-person bistro team.
- Create effective office plans and ensure the planning and execution of team moves when necessary.
- Follow trends in office design and periodically review office decor to ensure the comfort of our work teams.
- Ensure that new employees have an assigned office prior to their integration.
- Any other related duties.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor's degree in management, marketing, communications or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in organizing corporate events.
- Experience in personnel management - an asset.
- Knowledge of manufacturing environment - an asset.
**ESSENTIAL ASSETS**
- Bilingualism (French - English, written and spoken - position requires communications with our U.S. plant).
- Excellent writing skills.
- Ability to speak in public, in groups and at meetings.
- Excellent command of the Microsoft Office suite (Teams, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Warm and impeccable customer service.
- Creative, proactive, highly organized and detail-oriented approach.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Adaptability, flexibility and versatility in a constantly changing environment.
- Ability to work on several files and projects simultaneously, and to complete assigned mandates.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Comfortable with social media.
