The incumbent allows the company to carry out its dispatching activities, assigning vehicles and drivers to the various transport operations. It groups or distributes the loads according to their origins / destinations in transportable sets, according to predetermined routes.

The dispatcher is accountable to his immediate superior for providing the expected results and respecting the deadlines for the responsibilities that are listed below.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plans and coordinates pickups / deliveries already entered the system to ensure that they will be completed on time
- Establishes proactive communication with drivers for better planning
- Manages the capacity of the fleet assigned to it
- Check the availability of drivers
- Checks the availability of trucks and trailers
- Make sure to take note in the system of all information relevant to pickups and deliveries
- Carries out methodical monitoring of drivers and equipment to maximize their use / limit waiting time.
- Verification of the routes of each driver to plan departures and destinations
- Verification of permits, validity
- Schedule road escorts
- Demonstrates respect and fairness in dealing with drivers

**Teamwork**
- Suggests and implements new ideas or ways of improving performance
- Adapts to changes in customer requests / makes last minute changes (eg redirecting trips);
- Revise its planning to consider the unexpected having arisen
- Notify customers of problems, delays, and others.
- Teamwork with the CSR
- Notify your sector manager when abnormal situations arise at the operational or customer levels

**Requirements**:

- 3-5 years dispatching experience within the transportation industry
- Completed minimum post secondary education
- Broad understanding of operations and willingness to put knowledge to use
- Mature and willingness to work
- Computer proficient: MS Office (Excel & Outlook); ERP system: SAP, TMW an asset

**Internal interactions**:
The dispatcher will interact with mechanic, driver supervisors, customer service, driver license officers, compliance officer, and operations manager

**Salary**: $58,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
