**Summary**

**Dispatcher - Full-Time**
- Location: Canada (Mississauga)_

De Sousa Logistics is currently seeking a **full-time Dispatcher** to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized and dependable individual to take a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of our Pickup and Delivery operations.

As a Dispatcher, you’ll be responsible for coordinating driver assignments using geographic and route knowledge to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and deliver exceptional customer service. Your ability to plan ahead, solve problems on the fly, and communicate effectively will be vital to our success.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Dispatch and assign routes to drivers based on geographic area and workload.
- Monitor and coordinate daily Pickup and Delivery activities to ensure timely and cost-effective service.
- Handle all customer pickup request calls, prioritizing and dispatching **Rush**and non-urgent calls to meet or exceed collection deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all administrative tasks are completed promptly.
- Analyze and interpret logístical data to make effective decisions around workload distribution and resource allocation.
- Make outbound calls to confirm deliveries and maintain proactive customer contact.
- Report health and safety concerns, and follow all safety procedures and protocols.
- Be available for occasional off-hours phone support as needed.

**What We're Looking For**
- **Geographic knowledge of the dispatch service area is a MUST.**:

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in using Transportation Management Systems or dispatching software.
- Exceptional time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent phone etiquette and a customer-first mindset.
- Able to work independently and make decisions confidently.
- Professional appearance and punctuality are essential.

**Nice to Have**
- Experience with data entry and logistics coordination.
- Prior experience in a dispatching or transportation role.
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills (an asset, not required).
