Maintenance/Operations Storeroom Coordinator
We are currently looking for motivated and reliable Maintenance/Operations Storeroom Coordinator for a Full Time position.
**Job Summary**:
Under Supervision of the Maintenance Team Leader, the Maintenance/Operations Storeroom Coordinator is responsible for the daily storeroom activities and drives the continuous improvement and development of the storeroom including generating/scheduling work orders and preventative/ predictive maintenance schedules and procedures. RESPONSIBLE FOR STOREROOM PERFORMANCE.
**Job Functions**:
- Manage spare parts inventory. Includes item creation, ordering, tracking, storage, replenishment, processing stores issues, cycle counting and preparing and issuing kits.
- Assists in administration and calculating the inventory turns and storeroom service levels to meet goals. Assists in development of Value Add Reports and analyzing parts spend. Investigates to identify root causes and identifies areas of improvement/productivity/ waste reduction. Provides information to Finance.
- Responsible for meeting PME Storeroom requirements
- Manages kitting area and inventory.
- Assists the maintenance department with Maximo instructions and training (PR’s; WO’s, WR’s. PM’s).
- Assists staff in locating needed parts by physical or computer searching and provides them with tools to develop their own searches.
- Assist Finance with identifying and removal of obsolete parts as a result of day-to-day operations and as a result of capital projects. Includes reviewing slow turning items and removing non-stock items. Control over work orders to ensure that they are accurate, complete and are correctly categorized for reporting purposes (damages, normal wear, failure, etc.). Investigation of discrepancies in counts. Cycle counting on a scheduled basis. Drive storeroom organization & cleanliness and perform miscellaneous duties for overall up keep of the storeroom.
- Identify and implement process improvements through CI initiatives to increase the storeroom effectiveness.
- Work closely with engineering, maintenance, purchasing and finance.
- Generate and facilitate job plans, work orders, and preventative / predictive maintenance procedures.
- Requisition needed services, parts and tools to complete maintenance tasks.
- Work directly with the plant stakeholders to prioritize the work and determine manpower requirements.
- Correspond with suppliers regarding ordered, received, returned, damaged or repaired items.
**Other Duties**:
- Gather and post monthly maintenance metrics.
- Develop and aid in the development and maintenance of equipment e-files.
- Attend and provide insight for daily production and occasional event planning meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Technical background or equivalent.
- High Degree of organizational skills.
- Basic Computer Skills (Windows and Maximo CMMS).
- Strong understanding of maintenance craft skills.
- Ability to flex schedule during periods of high maintenance demand.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with internal and external people at all levels.
- Tenacious, highly motivated self-starter with strong organization and prioritization skills.
