REMOTE OPPORTUNITY
**CoSA VFX** is searching for an engaged, personable **Talent Recruiter** to identify artists who will thrive in CoSA's team-based environment and build long-term relationships with them.
The Talent Recruiter will help shape CoSA VFX's social media outreach to prospective artists, and share our history, talent, and work culture through hubs such as LinkedIn. Along with this online presence, they will work closely with our HR team to mobilize in-person outreach, such as career fairs, promotional materials, and interviews. The Talent Recruiter will also build connections with promising talent, and follow their career moves should an opportunity arise to bring them onto our team.
CoSA's Artist Recruiter will fulfill an essential role to champion artist growth opportunities, retention, and development efforts, all in service to CoSA's HR department and in collaboration with our diverse department leadership. This role may be called upon to support the recruitment of other positions within the organization as needed. This full-time permanent position will be a member of CoSA's HR department, reporting directly to the BC-based Global HR Manager.
**RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)**:
- Interface with scheduling and department leadership to understand upcoming artist needs, then prepare and execute artist recruitment to match
- Develop both active and passive recruitment strategies to identify and engage prospective artists for current and future studio needs
- Continue expanding CoSA’s existing relationships with artists in its various studio locations
- Partner with the CoSA HR team to:
- Prepare offers as well as refine job descriptions and job postings
- Understand North American immigration and work visas
- Oversee CoSA’s network of artist availability, and proactively build a network of potential and trusted artists, production staff
- Engage with art schools and universities, nurturing existing relationships and creating new ones that allow CoSA to meet and recruit talented artists emerging from those organizations
- Collaborate with CoSA's marketing team to ensure CoSA’s culture is reflected online on the studio Join Us webpage and social media accounts
- Other duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Required experience and knowledge**
- 2+ years experience in recruitment, interviewing, and/or networking
- Demonstrable ability to initiate and build strong working relationships
- Understanding of employment contracts, recruitment cycles, and total rewards
**Required skills**
- Ability to multitask while handling multiple deadlines and assigned tasks
- Ability to problem solve and resolve conflict
- Exceptional communication skills with a talent to build connections easily
- Ability to handle difficult conversations and provide constructive feedback
- Strong MS Excel and MS Word skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Organizing and project-planning savvy
- Able to act flexibly and pivot when faced with challenges
**Nice to have**
- Experience in entertainment, media or VFX industry recruitment
- Experience with VFX principles, techniques, and tools
- Previous experience with immigration and legal requirements in relation to recruitment (both in Canada and the US)
