We are seeking a dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist who will research, develop, and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.

Key duties:
**Recruiting**
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting and selection methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Uses technology and data to recruit smarter and better - Identifies opportunities within ADP recruiting process to increase utilization and efficiency
- Develops and executes effective employment branding strategy consistent with vaRS Nortrak’s values, strategy and culture utilizing appropriate traditional and social media channels.
- Collaborates with local HR and hiring managers in all phases of the recruitment process to ensure consistent and effective recruiting, selection, and on-boarding practices.
- Collaborates with hiring managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Tailors recruiting efforts to the specific local market requirements, positions and skill levels.
- Develops job postings consistent with the Company’s branding strategies and deploys effective advertising practices.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Manages affirmative action outreach requirements through the posting process and assists with overall affirmative action compliance as part of the hiring process.

**Retention**
- Champions vaRS Nortrak values and culture and supports all functions and plants with improvement opportunities.
- Monitors and reports turnover metrics for new and existing employees and time to hire metrics to measure the success of the recruiting and selection process.
- Offering creative solutions to respond to fast-changing retention needs and to help with developing long-term talent acquisition and retention needs.
- Supports VP Human Resources with various recruiting, retention and improvement projects.

On-Time Delivery
- Manage the sourcing and screening process to reduce the time to hire for all positions.

Cost
- Seek the most cost effective sourcing strategies in line with relevant budgets.

Safety
- Provide leadership for plant safety initiatives promoting a safety first culture.
- Ensure safety compliance with legal and Company requirements.

Quality

Job Requirements (e.g. education, experience, skills and desired competencies)
- At least three years managing the recruitment and hiring process.
- Experience with retention initiatives, tracking, and analyzing hiring and retention metrics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.

Physical Requirements:

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
