Heavy Equipment Technician

**Job Summary**
**Duties**:
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Assemble and disassemble equipment as needed for repairs or upgrades.
- Operate forklifts and cranes for the safe movement of heavy machinery.
- Perform welding tasks as required for equipment repairs.
- Dig trenches or perform excavation work when necessary for installation or repair projects.
- Collaborate with team members to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.
- Proficient in electrical troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- CVIP licence considerd an asset
- Wage negotiable dependant on experience, and certifications
- Minimum 24HRS per week more as required, opportunity to move into a full time roll as the company grows, get in at the ground level and grow with us.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
