**Job Title**: Shipping and Receiving Lead
**Department**: Logistics/Warehouse
**Reports To**: Production Supervisor
**Location**: Midvalley Rebar
**Job Summary**:
The Shipping and Receiving Lead is responsible for overseeing daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company policies and safety regulations. This role involves coordinating shipments, managing inventory, leading a team, and working closely with internal departments and external vendors to optimize workflow and meet delivery schedules.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including production, sales, and customer service, to coordinate order fulfillment.
- Lead and support yard staff, assigning tasks and ensuring productivity and efficiency.
- Verify incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders, identifying discrepancies and reporting issues as needed.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all shipments and inventory transactions.
- Operate and oversee the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Maintain yard and warehouse organization, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, assisting with stock replenishment and cycle counting.
- Train and mentor team members, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in logistics or supply chain management is an asset).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in shipping and receiving, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures, inventory management, and logistics.
- Experience with manufacturing execution system and ERP software is preferred.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

**Work Conditions**:

- Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures.
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and operating warehouse equipment.
- May require overtime or weekend work depending on operational needs.
