**Job Summary**

**Shipping**:
Tasks/Responsibilities:

- Prepares & packages outbound shipments as assigned by the logistics manager: Including but not limited to.
- Responsible for packaging shipments e.g., packages and pallets.
- Ensures goods are packed in adequately sized packaging.
- Ensure correct materials are used for packaging. E.g., USA shipments must have certified heat-treated pallets.
- Ensures goods are secured, labelled, and packed in means of containment to avoid damage and or loss.
- Scheduled outbound shipments with company drivers and carriers as assigned by the Logistics Manager: Including but not limited to.
- Checks shipment composition, quality, traits, and
- Checks carrier availability/pricing.
- Checks with the customer regarding the delivery timeline.
- Schedules company driver or carrier pick-ups.
- Prepares necessary shipping documents.
- Ensures shipments are completed in ERP software.
- Ensures shipments are picked up on time/on track.
- Communicates with the logistics manager as shipments are picked up.
- Freight Quotation for Deliveries: Including but not limited to.
- Equipment Rentals
- Containers
- Other, 3rd Party
- Shipment and materials handling: Including but not limited to.
- Handles and stages shipments prior to pick-up in the designated shipping area.
- Loads carriers and drivers as required.
- Capable of providing instructions to drivers and carriers regarding the handling of shipments.
- Shipping area and equipment Maintenance: Including but not limited to.
- Ensures shipping area remains clean and organized.
- Ensures shipping supplies are in good supply and organized.

**Receiving / Inventory Control**:
Tasks/Responsibilities:

- Receiving Goods & Materials: Includes but not limited to.
- Verifies correct acceptance/order number prior to unloading materials for carriers or drivers.
- Unloads carriers and drivers as required.
- Ensures goods/materials are thoroughly counted, quality is checked, and any missing or back-ordered items are marked accordingly (All deficiencies are reported to the purchaser/production manager immediately).
- Ensures goods that are received and not needed are raised to procurements and/or production/logistics, such that an RMA can be requested and goods arranged for return.
- Ensures goods are received into the ERP software accordingly.
- Ensures packing lists/paperwork are properly checked off, signed, and provided to accounting.
- Ensure goods are properly identified, labelled, and put away in designated locations as outlined by receiving procedures (Reports to production manager)
- Ensures goods left on the receiving shelf for pick-up are followed up on, so the shelf can be cleared.
- Ensures the receiving area remains clean and organized.
- Inventory Control & Material Handling: Includes, but is not limited to.
- Ensures inventory locations (consumable and tracked inventory) are neatly labelled (as required), put in the specified location/bin.
- Ensures inventory location and bins remain organized, clean, and neat.
- Ensures inventory locations have adequate labelling and identification to ensure products stored in the locations are clear and easily identifiable.
- Identifies issues with regard to quantities, space, organization, and or labelling and promptly reports to management for further direction.
- Helps to continually review upon organization and ensures issues with inventory are not left for others.
- Conducts inventory counts as required by the production manager.
- Ensures pre-use inspections are completed before using forklifts.
- Ensures shipping equipment and tools are in working order any deficiencies or repairs required are reported to the production and or logistics manager.

Experience, Competencies, and Training:

- 2+ years of experience in warehouse logistics and or shipping/receiving role.
- 2+ years of experience in inventory and warehousing.
- Knowledge of logistics processes
- Experience with importing and exporting is considered an asset (will train)
- Experience with ERP software
- Experience with Excel/Microsoft Suite of Apps
- Experience with operating forklifts (5000Lb counterbalance or larger).
- Handy with hand tools and the like, considered an asset
- Operator certificates, such as aerial work platforms considered an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay
