**Junior Hardware Inspector (Temporary)**

**Summary**:
TransCanada Turbines (TCT) is the sole authorized overhaul, repair and maintenance service
provider for Siemens Energy and General Electric (GE) aeroderivative industrial gas turbines,
serving an expanding international client base.

We are currently seeking an entry level **Junior Hardware Inspector** to join our growing team.
This position will be located in our Airdrie depot location.
Reporting to the Team Leader of Inspection, the hardware Inspector is responsible for confirming that all hardware meets the defined standard of serviceability.
**Duties**
Duties will include but will not be limited to the following:

- Perform visual examination of all engine general hardware following cleaning (e.g. bolts, nuts, unions,
- clips and washers) to ensure serviceability to a defined standard.
- Assemble specific hardware kits, ordering replacement parts where necessary, ready for module build.
- Ensure all parts are properly packaged and stored to prevent any material handling damage.
- Complete computer transactions and ensure paperwork is properly documented, closed, and filed.
- Work directly with the Team Leader to establish work priorities, scheduling of work.
- Assist in training future personnel including assisting the Team Leader with the compilation of work
- instructions and procedures.
- Monitor shop practices to ensure that the facility is always operated in a healthy, safe, and
- environmentally conscience manner, per TCT policies and procedures. Take steps to correct any
- condition that violates this fundamental principle.
- Make recommendations on policy and procedures to improve shop productivity and profit of the
- company in general, and to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Increase knowledge of the HSE Policy and Manual and maintain a positive attitude towards the health
- and safety of myself and my coworkers.
- Take ownership of HSE issues and demonstrate enthusiasm and support for HSE.
- Other duties as directed by the Team Leader, Inspection

**Company Requirements**:

- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential.
- Previous Inspection experience of engine parts is an asset
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Successful completion of a post-offer medical and drug & alcohol test
