**GENERAL SUMMARY**:
The Field Coordinator is a part-time position designed to be used in geographic areas of a Territory where there are 1) numerous low volume stores in a remote area, 2) a large number of big box stores and/or 3) a concentration of accounts needing specific attention. This position is responsible for ensuring all programs and customer initiatives are implemented in assigned stores. The Field Coordinator assists the Field Manager with hiring, training, and supervision of merchandisers within their assigned geographic area. The position will not be assigned to merchandise stores and is not intended to be used to fill Merchandiser or Field Manager vacancies.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Works independently with oversight from the Field Manager and/or District Manager.
- Communicates consistently with the Field Manager regarding schedules, training initiatives, revisions, projects and other topics as identified by the Field Manager.
- Responsible for managing a subset of stores within a Territory to achieve key metrics.
- Utilizes company provided tools and reports to identify and address opportunities within the Territory.
- Assists the Field Manager with interviewing and hiring merchandisers; does not have authority to make final hiring decisions or to complete onboarding paperwork.
- Directly supervises up to 15 merchandisers.
- Leverages available tools to manage team of merchandisers both remotely and in person.
- Has a thorough understanding of and can train to Best Practices regarding Everyday, Seasonal, Revision, and Relationship Management tasks.
- Trains and develops new and existing merchandisers in assigned stores.
- Utilizes MiPlan to document all audit and training calls as they are performed.
- Follows up on all store and merchandiser needs within their designated area, including but not limited to: fixture ordering, ordering and assigning merchandiser supplies, missing orders, technology issues.
- Partners with both Field Manager and Account Executives to resolve issues at store level, including but not limited to: inventory, store management, and service.
- Partners with the Field Manager to address performance issues; does not have authority to discipline or terminate employment.
- Will support in but not independently give year end performance reviews.
- Builds strong relationships with store management and personnel to ensure programs and initiatives are successfully implemented.
- Partners with Field Manager and/or Installation Supervisor as needed to schedule and execute both major and minor fixture and product revisions.
- Supports in change management/influence.
- Partners with Field Manager and/or District Manager on corporate projects and initiatives specific to their Region or area of focus.
- This remote position covers geographic region with a radius of approximately 50 KM.

**Your Required Skills and Competencies**:

- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years retail management or sales experience required.
- Technological competency - ability to learn and use technology effectively.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Outstanding organization and time management skills to be able to prioritize and successfully manage competing priorities.
- Must have strong influence skills to generate support from store personnel and merchandisers to achieve business objectives.
- Ability to work with and through others to achieve goals.
- Must be a self-starter - be compelled to take initiative without requiring prompting from others.
- Must be competent and comfortable managing people and activities in person and remotely.
- Enjoys interacting and working with others.
- Capable of working independently with mínimal supervision.
- Knowledge of the Greeting Card Industry would be a definite plus
- Must have a valid driver’s license and/or dependable transportation.
