**Team Leader**

Team leader is responsible for efficient operation of a Natural Health Products Contract Manufacturing facility, including ensuring that all work is performed in compliance with Safe Work Practices, cGMP, Standard Operating Procedures, and company policies. As part of the Production leadership team, the main focus is responsibility for day-to-day performance and results, developing systems and measurements to evaluate area performance and employee individual performance and contribution and lead initiatives to facilitate improved productivity.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Managing the manufacturing activities including Material receiving, blending, encapsulation, tableting, sorting, packaging and shipping, as well as housekeeping.
- Ensure Set up of unit operations such as tablet presses and Encapsulators.
- Ensuring continuous availability and quality of process equipment.
- Meeting productivity and efficiency targets.
- Identifying and defining improvements in new and ongoing processes.
- Coaching and managing team members.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment; providing on-going support to the Product Development to complete and evaluate trials.
- Support toward installation, start-up and maintenance of process equipment and facilities.
- Ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance and sanitation program is followed.
- Ensure Good Documentation Practices are followed, and documents are filled on real time basis.
- Review batch records.
- Supervise all stages of the manufacturing and packaging process and ensure they are completed in accordance with the master manufacturing & packaging orders and in compliance with all GMPs and safety standards.
- Complete production documenting.
- Compare line standard with production with accuracy and reliability
- Report on the progress of the production schedule on a daily basis to the scheduling team. Provide recommendations to the team on the execution on the remainder of the schedule in the event a modification to the schedule is necessary.
- Initiate and ensure the timely completion of all Reports associated with the production department. Ensure that all preventative and corrective actions are completed within the prescribed timelines.

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**
- High-school diploma.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift approximately 20 kg.
- Ability to work with others as a member of a team. Key skills include co-operation, communication and flexibility.
- Ability to understand and execute verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to motivate self and others

**Job Type**: Full-time

**Salary: $ 20 to 25 / hour**
