We are seeking a passionate, dynamic, and experienced individual to join our team as an Education Assistant Program Instructor. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to preparing students for successful careers as education assistants in diverse classroom environments.

**Job Summary**:
As an Education Assistant Program Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in the education assistant program, which includes both theoretical and practical components. You will guide students through the development of essential skills for supporting students with diverse learning needs, implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), managing classroom behaviors, and fostering inclusive learning environments. You will report to the SEA (Senior Education Administrator) of the college.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design and implement curriculum that aligns with program objectives and current educational standards.
- Facilitate classroom discussions, activities, and hands-on learning experiences.
- Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with other faculty and staff to ensure program success and continuous improvement.
- Stay current on best practices in inclusive education and educational assistant roles.
- Participate in program evaluations and contribute to program development and enhancement.
- Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment.
- Support students in their field placements and practical training experiences.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Diploma in Special Education Assistant, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in education assistance or special education are preferred.

**Experience**
- At least 5 years of teaching or relevant work experience in the education field, preferably in roles involving education assistants, special education, or inclusive teaching.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs is highly desirable.
- Experience in curriculum design and instructional planning is an asset.

**Skills**

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
