This role is a hybrid work arrangement. Work schedule to be discussed with the hiring Manager according to the guidelines defined by the department.

Your role

As Legal Assistant, your main objective will be to provide administrative assistance and clerical support to three lawyers (media law and business law) for the Legal Department in Toronto.

More specifically, you will coordinate office activities, as well as establish priorities and rushes for these three lawyers.

You will provide assistance throughout all stages of legal matters and compile basic data to facilitate requests for current and non-current information.

You will liaise with different corporate teams and service departments, as well as external stakeholders. You will also perform data entry and document formatting, maintain agendas, arrange meetings and/or travel, fill out expense accounts and pay invoices. Moreover, you will ensure physical and electronic filing, as well as filing system organization.

This is a hybrid position.- Minimum three (3) years' relevant experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary.- College diploma as a legal assistant or equivalent would be an asset.- Excellent knowledge of the Google Workspace and the Windows environment, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.- Fluency in English (spoken and written).- Knowledge of French would be an asset.- Excellent interpersonal skills: tact and diplomacy.- Strong organizational (able to prioritize effectively) and time-management skills.- Able to work with little supervision, as well as demonstrate initiative, accuracy and thoroughness.- Discretion to perform all duties with complete confidentiality.- Ability to work effectively with others by being flexible, respectful, communicating clearly, and proactively sharing knowledge and offering assistance
