Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian development non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in South Korea in 1991. After 5 years, we obtained consultative status with the United Nation’s Economic and Social Council (UNECOSOC). Good Neighbours Canada launched in March 2017 in London, Ontario, and moved to Scarborough, GTA in 2022. Under the Good Neighbors’ international governance, we focus on fundraising, refugee and newcomer settlement programs, and global development campaigns to support field projects.

**Fundraising Campaign Assistant**

The Fundraising Campaign Assistant is responsible for cultivating partnerships and generating opportunities for fundraising to support the social support programs provided by Good Neighbours Canada to support equity-deserving members of our community, including newcomers, refugees, racialized seniors and racialized youth. They will utilize local fundraising opportunities, develop community fundraising events, identify grant opportunities, and implement diverse fundraising techniques. This role combines strategic planning, relationship-building, and innovative fundraising approaches to ensure the charity's mission of supporting vulnerable individuals is supported and its impact is amplified.

**Responsibilities**
- Collaborating with local businesses to establish and cultivate partnerships for fundraising, ensuring ongoing support for community initiatives.
- Working alongside the Community Development Coordinator to plan and execute community fundraising events to raise funds and actively engage new supporters, fostering a sense of unity and support for vulnerable community members.
- Supporting with the donor onboarding and engagement journey to ensure supporters from community events are engaged in the work of Good Neighbours Canada and are encouraged to provide ongoing donations
- Conducting thorough research to identify relevant grant opportunities for Good Neighbours Canada’s programs which support local seniors, racialized youth, disabled youth, newcomers, refugees, and people of color.
- Developing communications and reports for donors to highlight the charity's initiatives in providing socialization, educational, employment and business development opportunities for vulnerable community members.
- Implementing diverse and effective fundraising techniques to secure financial support, including through developing concepts for online campaigns, donor outreach, and other creative methods.
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with prospective donors, sponsors, and partners, ensuring a collaborative approach to fundraising and a sustained commitment to supporting local equity-deserving communities.
- Collaborating with colleagues to gather information and insights that enhance the fundraising messaging and advertise Good Neighbours Canada through a lens of inclusivity and community support.
- Monitoring and evaluating the success of fundraising campaigns, providing reports on key performance indicators and evaluating feedback to provide recommendations for ongoing improvement.
- Actively participating in professional development opportunities to stay informed about emerging trends and innovations in fundraising strategies.

**Qualifications**
- This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs scheme, therefore due to the funder’s requirements, applicants must be between the ages of 18-30 years old and hold Canadian citizenship or Permanent Residency.
- (Working towards) a degree or diploma in international development, community education, human rights, social work or related field.
- Professional level fluency (spoken and written) in English and Korean
- Strong verbal and written communication, with an ability to convey the value of our charitable work and move supporters to consider donating.
- Strong project management and event coordination skills
- Efficient verbal and written communication for liaising with multiple parties in coordinating fundraising events and seeking feedback from attendees.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Intersectional and inclusive relationship-building skills, with a commitment to promoting equity and demonstrating respect towards different cultures and the varied backgrounds of our charity’s supporters.
- Strong database management skills, familiarity with MS Excel and web-based CRM systems.
- Understanding of, and passion for, international and community-based development.
