**About the Hotel **The Courtyard by Marriott Kingston is a 128-room hotel, owned and operated by Easton's Group of Hotels. Located just off of the 401 hwy, it features 2 meeting rooms, the Bistro restaurant and a pool with a 100-ft water slide.

**Courtyard by Marriott Kingston is looking for someone who is friendly and professional to join our Guest Services team**

**What will you be doing?**
- Registering guests, issuing room keys, providing information on hotel services and room location; preparing for group check-in and out and VIP arrivals; becoming informed of events/ functions in the hotel during the shift. Answering phones promptly and courteously.
- Accurately processing all cash and credit card transactions per established procedures including but not limited to posting all charges, completing cashier and other reports, preparing deposits, and counting/securing assigned banks.
- Responding appropriately to guest requests; promotes hotel services, facilities, and outlets; providing guests with information such as local attractions and directions to increase satisfaction. Making appropriate service recovery gestures to ensure total guest satisfaction.
- Maintaining sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area that meet or exceed the provincial and local Health Board inspection and hotel requirements.
- Promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with others

**What are the requirements for this role?**
- Basic reading, writing and math abilities.
- High School diploma or equivalent, plus one-year front desk/guest service experience. Some college is preferred.
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Strong communication skills
- Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities are often used.
