**Guest Services Agent**:
**Responsibilities**:
**Guest services**:

- assists with complex reservations such as: meeting/workshop groups, weddings and team bookings
- checking in and out hotel guests, activating keys, pre-authorizing credit cards, billing and cash handling, ensuring all applicable accurate records are created and maintained
- preparing a financial reconciliation at the end of the shift/day
- ensuring the confidentiality of guests personal information
- providing the day-to-day interactions with the hotel guests/visitors/clients and booking of reservations
- Arranging services required for guests, including assistance with luggage, reservations, and special needs.
- resolving guest complaints with the assistance of housekeeping and maintenance; seeks the assistance of supervisor when necessary
- maintaining the appearance of the front desk area and lobby, including neatness and cleanliness
- reporting/recording of any unusual occurrences or requests to the Manager during the day

**Providing information about**:

- hotel facilities and services,
- daily activities and meetings taking place in the hotel
- local general points of interest and attractions; directions.
- Information reporting
- maintain occupancy statistics, including an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments
- maintaining the room status report (Checkouts and In) for Housekeeping
- notifying the Housekeeper and Breakfast bar attendant daily of any special quest requirements
- notifying Maintenance of ‘work orders’ for guest or common rooms - eg. broken A/C /heater etc
- **other duties as required**

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or relevant qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years proven experience in a similar role (considered an asset)
- Good understanding of office administration and basic bookkeeping practices.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office programs.
- Bi-lingual French/English (considered a strong asset)
- Must be able to exert a light amount of physical effort, standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time; occasional medium effort for short periods of time is required for moving equipment, tables, guest luggage, and breakfast bar set-up and take-down.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

**Salary**: From $17.08 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
