A Hub Summer Camp Leader is someone responsible for the well-being and safety of young children at camp. Their duties include coordinating engaging activities for the campers, developing new programs, supervising staff and campers to make sure they are safe and happy. Staff members play a key role in creating positive impressions about Hub

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Overseeing all camp activities
- Supervising youth (6-14 yrs old) and leading camp staff (leadership position)
- Training and coaching new and existing camp staff
- Ensuring groups of assigned campers are supervised and safe
- Utilizing appropriate behavior management techniques
- Preparing and leading a variety of activities that are age-appropriate
- Modeling good behavior for campers as it relates to sportsmanship, manners, and respectfulness
- Identifying teachable moments and capitalizing on them
- Performing all responsibilities in a manner that guarantees the safety of campers
- Facilitating and encouraging participation in camp activities
- Interacting with parents in a professional and polite manner
- Knowing and enforcing the facility's policies and procedures
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday, July and August

**Qualifications**:

- High energy and enthusiasm
- Must enjoy working with kids
- Must be able to pass/provide Vulnerable Sector Check
- Certification in CPR and AED (First aid skills and training)
- General mobility including, but not limited, to walking, kneeling, and standing
- Proven ability to maintain a safe environment for others in adherence with provided protocol and standards
- Ability to plan, organize, and lead activities for large groups of children

Full time work
40 hrs/week

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
