**Overview**
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer season. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, providing guidance, and ensuring the well-being of campers while fostering their personal growth and development.

**Responsibilities**

Title**:Instructor - Summer Camp**

Summer Camp starts from June 30 and ends August 29 on all weekdays.

An OTA Instructor Must:

- Have experience working with kids between 6 to 14 years
- Be comfortable working in an athletic setting
- Have some knowledge of some sports
- Have your transportation
- Be punctual, professional, and Patient
- Implement high-energy and fun classes
- Have a Level 3 Police Clearance (Vulnerable Sector Check)

Work Environment:

- This is a part-time position.
- This position is for the Summer Camp we are organizing
- Summer Camp runs from Monday to Friday in Mississauga ( Eglinton X Dixie )
- Camp timing 9 am to 5 pm, with a few early drop-offs at 7 am and late pick-ups till 7 pm
- Depending on the schedule, be available to work 2-3 days per week.
- You are required to arrive 15 minutes early and stay 15 minutes after class (or until every child has been dismissed).
- You will use your transportation to drive to the schools; OTA does not reimburse for gas or mileage.
- There are mandatory trainings and staff meetings.

Job Logistics:

- There will be a lead instructor and a support instructor at each class, in case there is more than one instructor in a session.
- Each instructor is responsible for their issued equipment bags.
- Pay is $ 18 per hour

**Responsibilities**
- Supervise and engage children in various camp activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Plan and implement educational and recreational programs that promote learning and social skills.
- Provide support and guidance to campers, fostering their personal growth and development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding camper progress and concerns.
- Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a cohesive team atmosphere and enhance the overall camp experience.

**Qualifications**
- Experience working with children in various settings
- Strong tutoring and teaching skills, particularly in early childhood education
- Ability to create engaging and educational activities for campers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and adaptability in handling diverse groups of children
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
