**JOB SUMMARY**
**ORGANIZATION**
Wyndham House is an organization that provides young people 16 to 25 with a spectrum of supports and services needed to overcome challenging times and difficult problems related to housing and homelessness. Wyndham House programs include two Permanent Supportive Housing Programs, an Emergency Shelter, a Housing Stability Outreach Team, a concurrent-specialized health hub, and education and community partnership program. Wyndham House is a exciting and growing organization that is working on the cutting edge to address the needs of youth in the areas of housing, health and education. Wyndham House is part of the Built for Zero change effort, which is working to end chronic homelessness in Canada. The agency provides high-quality case management, housing, and clinical supports to youth with a variety of needs and complexities.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Operational Support for Payroll
- Manage the accounts payable process, obtaining invoice approvals, entering vendor invoices in Sage, and making payments via cheque within the payment deadlines.
- Maintain a financial filing system and ensure the financial records are stored in the accounting system
- Assist with monthly account reconciliations (including credit card statements), personal expense claims etc.
- Annual Audit prep support
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**
- Successful completion of a recognized diploma/certification in accounting/bookkeeping business, HR, or related field
- 3 years’ experience within an administrative/financial field including work in accounts payable, accounts receivable and payment processing
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (creating spreadsheets, charts and using financial excel functions)
- Hands on experience or solid knowledge of Sage accounting software & ADP payroll is needed for this position
- Experience within not-for-profit work environment is an asset
- Excellent time management & superior organization skills
- Proven self-starter with proactive problem-solving abilities
**EXPERIENCE**:
- Sage/accounting: 3 years (preferred)
- HR/admin: 3 years (preferred)
