**Our Human Resources department is growing We're seeking an HR Assistant to join our team.**

**Summary**:Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of the HR department. The HR Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support, maintaining personnel files, and assisting in full-cycle recruitment.

**Primary Responsibilities of the Human Resources Assistant**:

- On-board new hires and organize new hire orientation and training
- Take an active role in the Health and Safety committee and support safety initiatives and training
- Support internal communication by updating and sending our monthly employee newsletters as well as updating bulletin boards (safety, information updates, etc.)
- Prepare reports and presentations on HR-related metrics and activities
- Manage and maintain accurate, up-to-date digital and physical personnel information database files.
- Provide administrative support to the HR department
- Keep up to date on latest HR trends and best practices
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by participating in professional development workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
- Participate in new and ongoing projects as directed by manager
- Follows all safety and food-safe procedures and complies with company policies
- Perform other related duties and tasks as required to meet the needs of our operations

**Qualifications of the Human Resources Assistant**:

- Post-secondary education in HR and/or Business Administration.
- Preferably 1-2 years of HR or related experience.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- High attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent organizational and Time Management Skills
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office & technology

**Hours**:Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $24.00-$25.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
