A large and complex organization, eHealth is comprised of 30+ clinical and non-clinical program (service) areas that all work together to support health care providers and teams across the province in delivering the best possible care to patients, providers, citizens, and health system users. Programs range from primary care to acute care, and includes laboratories, pharmaceuticals, and diagnostics. Additional programs that also support patient care and information include Virtual Care, the MySaskHealthRecord, and the Provincial Electronic Health Record. eHealth is also responsible for the administration of various pieces of legislation to manage the registration of/changes to all vital event records (e.g. birth, marriage, death, etc.), registration of legal name changes, registration of adoptions, and for maintaining the provincial health registry for health services eligibility and distribution of health services cards.

The eHealth teams engage directly with health system partners and other stakeholders both provincially and federally to ensure all services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Manager, Program Services (Ministry of Health), eHealth Saskatchewan is looking for a highly skilled Business Analyst with a team player attitude and customer focus who takes pride in knowing the work they do has a direct impact on the lives of patients, their families, and our community. The type of work will vary every day but will revolve primarily around documenting business processes and requirements, specifications including providing clarity to our health system partners on the projects we lead and services we provide. This position will play a vital role in establishing a new infrastructure, set of business processes and implementation plan for a new provincial health data analytics infrastructure.

You will be expected to lead initiatives, including gathering, validating and manage business requirements, clear and concise documentation, implementation planning, training development and execution, incident management and support. You must have a passion for customer service and an aptitude for problem solving to understand their problem and be able to communicate that to others.

The intermediate business analyst is technically sound, with a broad base of knowledge, experience, and the ability to relate the technical issues to the underlying needs of the business. The role will involve being able to grasp the implications of technical details rapidly and understand their inter-relationships and the impact on the environment into which the solution will be deployed.

**Typical Daily Duties**:

- Gather and document business processes, requirements, and specifications.
- Liaise with end users, customers, and third-party service providers
- Provide support and training for technology solutions
- Ensures that recommendations include sufficient controls
- Identify opportunities where business processes can be enhanced through the implementation of technology or by other techniques
- Participate in and lead projects as needed to ensure that services are planned for and smoothly transitioned into Support Services

**What are we looking for?**
The knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of a post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or related area of study. In addition to educational requirements, you will have at least 2 years of experience working as a Business Analyst or similar in an integrated support environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience with the following:

- Knowledge of database concepts, theories, and principles
- Knowledge of requirements analysis and solution design principles
- Health sector related business knowledge is required
- A strong technical background, experience with facilitation and training.
- A passion for continual learning.
- ITIL or IIBA Certification is considered an asset.
