A large and complex organization, eHealth is comprised of 30+ clinical and nonclinical programs (services) areas that all work together to support health care providers and teams across the province in delivering the best possible care to patients, providers, citizens, and health system users. Programs range from primary care to acute care, and includes laboratories, pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. Additional programs that also support patient care and information, include Virtual Care, MySaskHealthRecord, and the Provincial Electronic Health Record. eHealth is also responsible for the administration of various pieces of legislation to manage the registration of/changes to all vital event records (e.g. birth, marriage, death, etc.), registration of legal name changes, registration of adoptions, and for maintaining the provincial health registry for health services eligibility and distribution of health services cards.

The eHealth teams engage directly with health system partners and other stakeholders both provincially and federally to ensure all services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

**About the Intermediate Business Analyst Role**:
This position will be reporting to the Manager, Laboratory Services. The work of eHealth is accomplished through strategic planning, procurement, implementation, ownership, operation and management of the Saskatchewan Electronic Health Record, as well as associated provincial components and infrastructure. eHealth’s role is two-fold: (1) Lead Saskatchewan’s efforts and investments toward building an electronic health record for each resident and (2) coordinate, operate and maintain other selected IT systems on behalf of healthcare delivery organizations in the province.

**Typical Daily Duties**:
To put these solutions in place, we are looking for a highly skilled business analyst with a team player attitude and customer focus who takes pride in knowing the work they do has a direct impact on the lives of patients, their families and our community. The type of work will vary each day but will revolve primarily around documenting business processes and requirements, specifications including providing support and training for technology solutions.

**What we are looking for**:
**To qualify for this position, you will have knowledge and experience in the following**:

- Knowledge of database concepts, theories and principles;
- Knowledge of requirements analysis and solution design principles;
- Health sector related business knowledge is required;
- A strong technical background and experience with facilitation and training;
- ITIL Certification is considered an asset.
- A passion for continual learning.

The knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of a post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, or related area of study (ex: Business Information Systems). An IIBA Certification in Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA); or certification from an equivalent program will also be accepted in addition to, or in replace of, the above requirements. In addition to educational requirements, you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Business Analyst or similar in an integrated IT/Health support environment. For example, multifaceted work experience in Information Technology / Information Systems environments. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

- A proven track record of excellent interpersonal skills to lead, develop, and manage extensive consultative and co-operative working relationship with program managers, senior managers, and partners responsible for planning, research, and information systems, and with other provincial agencies, jurisdictions, and/or the federal government;
- Excellent written skills to communicate and present options and alternatives, and bring forward recommendations to both clinical and IT professionals; and
- Excellent documentation skills to produce proposals, charters, business requirements, test plans and schedules.
