**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resource Generalist plays a critical role in the Plant HR Team by ensuring HR programs and initiatives meet employee and business objectives for a diverse group in a unionized environment. This position administers policies and procedures, implements initiatives, and provides employee and labour relations support, including leading employee investigations. The position provides guidance and advice to employees and responds to a variety of Human Resources related questions.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Provides guidance and advice and is the first point of contact for employees and supervisors.
- In collaboration with Plant Managers and other key stakeholders, implement annual HR plans that address key business objectives.
- Track, analyze and report on key HR metrics and make recommendations on action, if required.
- Administers policies and practices, implements corporate-wide and local initiatives.
- Proactively manages employee issues in support of Sofina’s culture.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Certificate in Human Resource Management or equivalent experience.
- Excellent knowledge and experience in HR functions.
- Comfortable in developing and executing plans and promoting ideas.
- Experience in Labour/Employee relations.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, problem solving and analytical skills including the ability to influence.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information and discretion in all aspects.
- Travel to applicable locations required.
