**About the Job**

Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, you will develop, implement and evaluate human resources and employee relations policies, programs and procedures and advise managers on personnel matters. You will be involved in staffing, benefits, orientation, training, compensation and employee relations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the recruitment, benefit, and pension plans for hourly workforce.
- Onboarding and offboarding functions.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure an adequate HR presence.
- Regular communication with hiring managers to discuss staffing concerns and recruitment needs.
- Conduct and review employee appraisals and development plans.
- Ensure compliance with all legislative and union requirements.
- Provide one on one HR Support to managers and employees.
- Investigate and report on all employee relation issues and concerns.
- Support and promote DEI initiatives.
- Data entry and maintenance of various HR data tracking and reporting software.
- Work closely and in collaboration with other business until to ensure alignment of programs and policies and implementation of improvements and changes.
- Collect data and compile reports on various HR initiatives.
- Additional human resource duties as required.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years of experience working within an HR Department; 2-3 years in an HR Generalist role.
- Post secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources.
- Strong understanding of labor laws, employment legislation, collective bargaining agreements, and union dynamics.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
- Experience overseeing and conducting workplace investigations.
- Experience overseeing benefit and disability claims
- Recruitment, onboarding and offboarding experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships with employees, managers, and union representatives.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to travel to local business units.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $44,119.36-$88,461.35 per year
